At 2,900m with 3hrs, a 10km walk, and a 650m ascent. Depart from Nairobi at 0800hrs, driving through the agricultural rich countryside through Thika, Muranga, Embu, and Meru country with a stopover at Chogoria town for lunch. After lunch, we drive up to the edge of the bamboo forest where we embark on trekking through the 10KM dense bamboo forest to the Mt Kenya Bandas. Here, we retire with dinner until early morning.

At 3,600m with 3hrs, a 9km walk, and a 700m ascent. A new day comes with a new beginning. After breakfast, we continue with our mission up the mountain. Along the route, we encounter Lake Ellis with its scenic panoramic views of Mugi, Ithanguni, and the Giants billiards table rock formation. Here, the dream is clear as we meander by the river and upstream with a cinematic view of the landscapes before having lunch while fantasizing about the journey ahead. At 3600M above sea level, we set camp and enjoy the evening with imaginative thoughts of the awaiting night.

At 4,200m with 4 hrs, a 12km walk, and 600m ascent. Arise and shine and we repeat the morning routine before taking off through the beaten track to follow a ridge up the mountain for about 3hours to eventually join the tourist track on the normal Chogoria route at an altitude of about 4,100m above sea level. Here, we encounter Breathtaking views over the Gorges Valley and back over towards Ithanguni and the Northern Moorlands before stopping for a Lunch break. Afterward, we find ourselves at the Mintos Hut area at 4200m and for a night's rest. We spend the afternoon relaxing at the camp, with an easy 10-minute walk to the "Temple" being a worthy effort. This is a 150 meters vertical cliff that gets its name from the position visitors often adopt when peering over the edge - they look as if they are praying. Finally, the Lenana point seems a dream come true as we retire for an early rise to the summit.

At 4,985m with Liki North camp at 8-9 hrs, a 19km walk, 785 ascent, and a 1,085 descent, The summit attempt starts at 0300hrs and for about three hours up to Point Lenana (4,985m). At the hiker's summit, the magnificent African sunrise crowns the mountain with a gold-like decor as it comes up from the horizon. We later descend to Shipton camp for breakfast. After breakfast, we begin a 3-hour descent via Mackinder`s valley to the Liki North camp (3,900m). The descent is gentle and it offers ample time to enjoy fascinating scenery which includes the moorlands before reaching the camp where dinner is served as we share the experiences with an overnight spent at Liki North camp.

After early morning breakfast, we descend for 2-3 hours to Old Moses camp to catch a vehicle for transfer to Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon.
